Came here because the other shop had too long queue and this was the highest rating. Waited for around 20 minutes for the seat. But man this service was amazing, the food is just amazing as well. The octopus was so tender and the the clam was good. The shrimp flavour was on point, but the shrimp wasn't feeling as fresh as the one I had in another restaurant in lisbon, wasn't bad or anything, just comparing the two. But overall this is still very good. regardless.

Such a lovely and fabulous restaurant! Went there twice in two days! First of all the food is fantastic, my favorite dishes by order: The seafood stew (must try!) The clam The octopus The garlic shrimp The fish of the day Hugo and his family (mom and Chef Dad) are so nice and Hugo kept speaking mandarin words of “thank you” to us;) It was a lovely experience and am sooooo happy! What a wonderful dining experience.

Finally understood why the reviews were SO good. Had to queue 45 mins before the first dinner serving, but felt like it was worth it. Had the seafood rice, and the grilled octopus, and both were excellent. The grilled octopus were tender and flavourful, and the seafood rice was deep in taste and hearty. Had a few seafood rice meals throughout Portugal, and got to say, this is one of the best ones. Also had the chocolate dessert which was an excellent way to end the meals. The staff were fantastic, attentive but not imposing. Highly recommend!

A real treat. Waited in line for about 30 minutes or so and was absolutely worth it. Great service - didn't get names of the staff but really, really lovely. Friendly, funny, and accommodating. Portions are generous and delicious. Everything we had was incredibly tasty but I definitely recommend the pulpo...the best octopus I've had in a long while (perhaps ever) Far too full for dessert but I'm sure it would have been great! Doesn't take reservations from what I understand, so turn up on time and get in line. It's absolutely worth a visit! And cash only!

Best restaurant in Portugal hands down! You must get the octopus, it’s incredibly tender and full of flavour. The seafood rice is a must as well (good portion for 2-3). I guess I have to come back to try the rest of their menu because it all looked amazing. The line up can get pretty long, so come by early before/ close to opening time. We went for lunch around 1pm and had to wait around 30-40 min, worth it though! Oh yeah and cash only, was 67 euros for both dishes

Beautiful restaurant, great ambiance, and even better service. The family and staff were so attentive well above other restaurants in Porto. Worth the hour and a half wait. Would recommend coming early for the best chance to get in as they only take walk ins. Also only cash as a fair warning. Will definitely come again when in the area. Highly recommend the octopus, fish of the day, and seafood rice. And in last thing, if you haven’t tried we do recommend the porto tonic.

Fantastic dinner. This was my favorite meal in Porto. The octopus salad is one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. The staff (small family) was super friendly and attentive. Note, tables are first come first serve; they do not take reservations. If you want to be in the first wave of tables, I recommend showing up 45-60 min before open. We arrived 30 min before open and did not make it in the first round of tables. Pro tip: If this happens, go to Ryan’s around the corner to get to-go drinks while you wait.
